Origins: GDI was founded in 2002. A U.S. Veteran-Owned company specializing in the development and manufacturing of mount interface devices for use with military & law enforcement day optics, sights, and electro-optic aiming systems. GDI’s Founder & CEO served within the Naval Special Warfare community; during which time, identified several critical shortfalls of existing sight mount devices while on deployed military operations, pre-deployment work-ups, and field training exercises (FTX). It was observed that the most vital of functions—the optic remaining secured to the weapon, failed and jeopardized the lives of his Teammates and troops in theater during combat operations.
